SOLAR PV TRAINING

Solar Energy International was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit educational organization to advance the use of renewable energy resources and natural building technologies through education and technical assistance. Since 1991, people from all 50 states and 66 countries have attended SEI's training programs.

NRCA offers publications specific to roof-mounted PV installations. 

Guidelines for Roof-mounted Photovoltaic System Installationsprovides best practices and recommendations for incorporating photovoltaic systems into roof assemblies. 

Building Owners Guide to Roof-mounted Photovoltaic Systemsprovides general information about roof-mounted PV systems. This document is intended to inform building owners of the options, decisions and actions required when considering a roof-mounted PV system.

Photovoltaics: Design & Installation Manual An updated and revised textbook manual on how to design, install and maintain a photovoltaic (PV) system. This manual offers an overview of photovoltaic electricity, and a detailed description of PV system components, including PV modules, batteries, controllers and inverters. Electrical loads are also addressed, including lighting systems, refrigeration, water pumping, tools and appliances. The manual includes chapters on sizing photovoltaic systems, analyzing sites and installing PV systems. The manual also includes detailed appendices on PV system maintenance, troubleshooting, and insolation data for over 300 sites around the world.
